She has already been swimming. Of course the brambles and thorns have been brushed out of her. Of course she knew—she could smell—a swimming hole coming. Of course I told her not to go in. You can practically see the laughter in her body language, can't you?
Is it that proximity to water has some sort of effect on the eardrums of retrievers, making it impossible for them to hear? Anyone else have this problem?
